Over 150 [non] Maternity Dresses Under £150

My pregnancy style & inspiration

I can safely say I really tried with “maternity” clothes when I was pregnant, bought the maternity jeans and tried on a couple of maternity dresses but soon realised that I was going back to the clothes already in my wardrobe, especially the floaty dresses I already owned.

I gave up and instead decided to buy the same style of clothes I was used to, but sized up to allow for the bump to grow.

Sizing up is a good idea for most dresses anyway, I always think it makes clothing look more expensive and there is nothing a belt can’t fix when you no longer need the extra material!

Over 150 bump friendly dresses you’ll want to wear over & over again, pregnant or not.

[and they’re all under £150]

Wear-anywhere bump friendly dresses

Easy, breezy dresses that make dressing up a bump a joy - the key is being comfortable while feeling amazing and I thing these dresses do just that. Whether you’re packing for a holiday, looking for something comfy to wear at the weekend or planning a wedding guest outfit, these dresses will work hard for you.

There are no rules when it comes to dressing a bump, wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in, but if you’re stuck and aren’t sure what to look for I’d say look for shirred busts, floaty a line dresses, oversized shirt dresses or flattering body-con styles to show off the bump.

Great for the office

14 dresses to have on rotation for your days in the office that you’ll still get wear out of when you’re on maternity leave too.

Wear this jersey dress with a blazer on top and you’ll be super comfortable while looking office ready too…

…or opt for a more fitted style, A-line skirt style

Nursing Friendly Dresses

The key here is access - there’s an amazing brand I’ve discovered while I was breastfeeding, called Bump & Milk who make the most beautiful dresses designed with pregnancy and breastfeeding in mind and they use these clever concealed zips to allow you to breastfeed while on the go.

If you’re shopping on the high-street, I’d recommend also looking for button shirt dresses, shirred bust dresses, tie-front details or wrap dresses. Here are some gorgeous examples to get you started:
