I love California, we’ve been a few times before: the first time we did a roadtrip from LA - San Francisco via Palm Springs and Carmel, and the second time we drove to Vegas from LA via Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. This time around, we’ve been planning this road-trip for 3 years and it’s a bit different as we’re travelling with a toddler: we’re staying in places like Santa Monica near the beach, Santa Barbara - a gorgeous little town (you’ve got to check out Montecito too if you’re heading this way), staying a few nights in West Hollywood and ending the trip on the beach again in Santa Monica.

While I was planning my holiday outfits for this trip, I really wanted to find practical staples that will work while on the go and I found some amazing gems at Amazon Fashion I think you’ll love too!

The summer staples I found on Amazon Fashion this month.

The Printed T-shirt

I couldn’t resist this Los Angeles printed overshized t-shirt - perfect paired with black denim shorts or white jeans.

2. The LBB (Little Black Bikini)

I always pack a black bikini on holiday, I think it’s such a summer staple and it’s universally flattering - I love this high waisted one I found on Amazon Fashion, I find it really supportive and true to size.

3. The One Piece Swimsuit

Love this colour block swimsuit, it gives me perfect coverage when running around on the beach after a little one and the cut is really flattering too. Pair it with these linen trousers and shirt from my May Amazon Fashion Edit for the perfect beach look.

4. The Jumpsuit

I cannot tell you how flattering this one shoulder jumpsuit is - it’s made out of a linen mix and it’s the perfect day-to-night outfit - perfect with slides or heels.

5 . White Jeans & Ribbed Crop Top

Nothing easier to wear than a tonal white jeans and cream ribbed crop top - the perfect outfit for a day trip!

6. The Pool Slides

Honestly - these pool slides are just what was missing in my holiday wardrobe - sturdier than a flip flop, perfect for the beach, pool or even a casual day outfit - they don’t rub, are soft to step on and I think everyone should have a pair!

7. The Rectangle Sunnies

This shape is very of the moment and I LOVE these green ones I found on Amazon Fashion - although they do come in different colours too if green isn’t your thing!

8. The Denim Shorts

I went for these black denim shorts because I have a pair of blue shorts already and I love them - wear with a printed tshirt or a short sleeve shirt for a casual day look or pair with a white T-shirt and a blazer for the perfect evening look.

These black denim shorts are so flattering, I sized up to a 32W for a loose fit.
